Easy And Tasty Coconuut Chutney Recipe's

Coconut chutney or kobbari pacchadi is simple at classy chutney or dip recipe of every house hold of south India which can be accomplished with breakfasts recipes like dosa idly uthappam Vada and so on.

Coconut chutney is an easy peasy chutney which tastes yummy.

I prepare coconut chutney in different ways by mixing coconut with roasted peanuts chickpeas(putani) urad dal tomatoes coriander curry leaves mint leaves and with fresh curds.

In this post I will be sharing two varieties coconut chutney recipe’s with roasted chickpeas and roasted peanuts in two ways which you can prepare in 5 minutes without any mess of cooking or roasting.

Coconut chutney is soft and easily digestible nutritious chutney which is prepared in most of South Indian houses on regular days.

I prepare coconut chutney fresh by grating or by without grating, I love to add grated coconut in  most of my recipe’s to enhance the of the dish.

Coconut meat itself is sweet and soft in texture which you can easily enjoy  it raw or dried.

There are number of coconut chutney recipes which are unique and taste good.

In this post I am sharing my kind of chutney recipe which is easy is prepare  and good to taste.

Ingredients required to prepare Easy Coconut Chutney Recipe 1

For The Chutney

  1. Grated fresh coconut – 2 cups
  2. Dry roasted chickpeas – 1 Tbsp.
  3. Green chili – 3
  4. Ginger – 1″piece
  5. Cumin seeds – 1 Tsp
  6. Salt –  As required.

For The Tempering

  1. Oil – 1 Tsp
  2. Mustard seeds – 1 1Tsp
  3. Cumin seeds – 1 Tsp
  4. Curry leaves – 6 to 8
  5. Coriander leaves – As required
  6. Dry red chili – 1 or 2

Step by step preparation method of easy coconut chutney recipe 1.

Step 1)

To prepare easy coconut chutney firstly grate 2 cups of fresh coconut, take a mixer/blender jar add 3 chopped green chili 1 Tsp of coriander seeds 1 Tsp of cumin seeds  1″piece of fresh peeled and chopped ginger then add 1Tbsp of roasted Chana dal.   

Step 2)

Then add 2 cups 0f grated fresh coconut 1 Tsp of salt or as per your taste.

Step 3)

Now grind/blend in mixer or blender for few seconds, then add 1 cup  of water  blend until soft and smooth.

Step 4)

Ground coconut chutney, smooth and soft. You can add water as per your required consistency.

Step 5)

To prepare tadka/tempering, take small tempering pan/copper bottomed vessel, heat 1 Tsp of oil in a low flame, then add add 1Tsp of mustard seeds 1 Tsp of cumin seeds roast and splutter for few seconds, now add 1 dry red chili curry leaves coriander leaves roast until crisp.

Step 6)

Transfer prepared easy coconut chutney into serving bowl, top it with prepared tempering or add the tempering into the chutney and mix it, serve with dosa or idly.

For The Chutney

  1. Grated coconut – 1 Cup
  2. Dry roasted peanuts – 1 Cup
  3. Chopped Green chili – 3
  4. Garlic pods – 3
  5. Curry leaves – 10 to 12
  6. Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup
  7. Crystal salt – 1 Tsp
  8. Water – 1.5 cup’s

For The Chutney

  1. Oil – 1 Tsp
  2. Mustard seeds – 1 Tsp
  3. Cumin seeds – 1 Tsp
  4. Curry leaves – 6 to 8
  5. Coriander leaves – To garnish
  6. Dry red chili – 2.

Step 1)

To prepare tasty coconut chutney, Take a mixer jar /blender add 1 cup fresh grated coconut then add1 cup  dry roasted peanuts (with skin) and  3 green chilis chopped into two halves.

Step 2)

Then add 3 garlic pods,  10 fresh curry leaves, 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves into the jar.

Step 3)

Now add 1 Tsp of crystal salt or powdered salt, pour 1.5 cups of water into the jar.

Step 4)

Now close the jar with lid, blend to a smooth paste. you can add  water according to your required chutney consistency.

Step 5)

♠  Always use fresh coconut fresh curry leaves and fresh coriander leaves to enhance the taste of coconut chutney.

♠ You Can prepare this two types of chutneys by roasting peanuts, chickpeas and green chilis in oil.

♠ You can substitute green chili with dry red chilis..
