Roti wrap|| How to wrap Roti or Chapati||Indian flat bread wrap

Roti  wrap means wrapping roti/Indian flat bread  which is usually stuffed with stir fried vegetables or meat tightly with roti in various shapes and sizes.

There are different types of rolls and wraps in India according to the choice of stuff we choose, they are called as Frankie’s, wraps and rolls.

In this post I am sharing easy roti wrap recipe which is stuffed with raw vegetables like capsicum grated carrot onions and shredded cottage cheese/paneer .

Roti wrap recipe is easy way of wrapping roti’s without any hustle in your busy hours, you can prepare this with left over roti’s or with fresh roti.

You can enjoy this as a snack with tomato ketchup or any dips in your snack or any other time.

You can stuff your choice of vegetables eggs or meat as per your choice.

I just prepared this super tasty wrap to surprise my family for dinner by skipping with regular dal roti menu, they are super excited and loved the taste of my roti wrap as they are paneer lovers.

Ingredients require to prepare one roti wrap

  1. Roti/flat bread – 1 no’s
  2. Tomato sauce – 1 tbsp.
  3. Chopped capsicums – 1 tbsp.
  4. Chopped onions – 1 tbsp.
  5. Grated carrot – 1 tbsp.
  6. Paneer/cottage cheese – 1 tbsp.
  7. Melted butter/clarified butter – 1 tsp to fry
  8. Oregano – 1 tsp.

Step by step preparation method of roti wrap

  1. Firstly preheat tawa for a minute, place roti/chapati on tawa.
  2. Slit roti radially
  3. Now spread tomato sauce with the help of spatula.
  4. Place onions on first quarter part of roti, then chopped capsicum grated carrots followed by grated paneer
  5. Top it with chopped paneer cubes.
  6. Now sprinkle 1 tsp of oregano
  7. Fold the roti inwards direction as shown in the video to make a wrap/pocket
  8. Roast for a minute, turn/flip the wrap to the other side, pour butter, roast for a minute.
  9. Take out from tawa, serve hot with tomato ketchup.
